Arrival in Washington DC

As mentioned in the video, I arrived in Washington DC on December 18th. Right after my arrival, I headed straight to Virginia to visit Dmv_cgs. I highly recommend them if you’re in the DMV area and looking for knotless braids. I personally loved getting my hair done there. The braids were not only stylish, but also comfortable and lightweight. If you’re considering getting knotless braids, definitely check them out on Instagram @dmv_cgs.

Room Tour: Phoenix Park Hotel

I had the pleasure of staying at the Phoenix Park Hotel in Washington DC. The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from Union Station. If you’re looking to stay in the area and want easy access to transportation, I highly recommend this hotel. The best part is that some rooms even have a view of the capital, which is quite impressive.

Let’s dive into the room tour! Initially, I booked a queen room as it was just me, but the kind staff upgraded me to a king bed. As I walked into the room, I was greeted by a cozy and comfortable king bed. It was perfect for a good night’s sleep after a long day of exploring the city.

There was also a beautifully designed decorative chair, adding a touch of elegance to the room. A large mirror was conveniently placed on one side, along with an alarm clock and charger. Drawers were available for storing personal items.

The room also featured a TV with a variety of entertainment options. This was a great addition, especially when traveling alone and wanting to unwind before sleep. I didn’t even need my eye mask as the room had the perfect ambiance.

Moving on, there was a storage area with a fridge, providing the convenience of keeping snacks and drinks fresh. Several drawers were available, allowing guests to stay organized. A safe was also provided for added security.

For ice and beverages, there was an icebox and cups. Additionally, there was ample space to store a bag or luggage to keep the room tidy. Hangers and an umbrella were also available, along with an ironing board and iron.

As for the view from the room, it overlooked a parking space and the national postal museum. While it wasn’t the most breathtaking view, it still had the charm of Union Station and flags waving in the distance. The parking lot did somewhat obstruct the view, but it wasn’t a major issue.

The room also had a thermostat to control the temperature, which was particularly important during the cold winter days in DC. A full-body mirror and a table completed the room, although I would have preferred a wider mirror. Overall, it was a cute and comfortable room, perfect for a stay in Washington DC.

Washington DC Activities

During my stay in DC, I had a few activities planned. One of them was an appointment I needed to attend. However, I ended up running late for the appointment. It can be quite tricky to manage time, especially when you’re in a new city. Despite being late, I made it safely and apologized for the delay.

Additionally, I had the chance to go out with my sister for dinner at La Vie restaurant. It was a wonderful outing, filled with good food, laughter, and quality time together. Sometimes, it’s nice to take a break and enjoy the company of loved ones while exploring new places.

Conclusion

As my stay in Washington DC came to an end, I packed up my belongings and prepared to leave. I must apologize that this vlog wasn’t as extensive as usual, but my main intention was to provide a room tour of the Phoenix Park Hotel. There didn’t seem to be many room tours available on YouTube for this hotel, so I wanted to fill that gap and give viewers a better understanding of what to expect.
